House before alteration ...
... and after.
The original bungalow had several alterations and additions done over the years which had resulted in a house with disjointed spaces and no good working areas for a busy farm operation. The house was cold in the winter months and there were rooms that weren’t getting used due to their location and layout. A new garage, laundry was required by the owner with good farm access, along with a formal entrance for people that would lead them into the living areas of the home. The existing kitchen, dining and living spaces were re organised to make a more coherent space. A new master bedroom suite was also designed with En suite and WIW to capture the views and sun on the site. The form and materials used in the alteration/addition reflect the original bungalow so the addition works seamlessly with the original house.
